Khentrul Tenzin Chokey Juney Rinpoche
Khentrul Tenzin Chokey Juney Rinpoche is a respected Bhutanese Buddhist master and founder of Tara Monastery in Paro, Bhutan. Recognized as a tulku at an early age, he received extensive monastic training in Bhutan, Nepal and India. His studies encompass different traditions of Tibetan Buddhism and included further education at Sera Jey Monastic University in South India.
A particular focus of his work lies in the teachings of the Bodhisattva path, compassion and mindfulness. Rinpoche combines profound Buddhist philosophy with a clear and accessible approach, bringing traditional wisdom teachings to life in ways that are meaningful and relevant to contemporary life.
Alongside his teaching, he is committed to monastic education and social initiatives in Bhutan. Through his Nin-Da initiative, he supports educational and developmental opportunities for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
At Mahakasha, Khentrul Rinpoche joins us as a valued guest teacher and speaker. His teachings and gatherings create space for Buddhist wisdom, compassion, inner development and a living dialogue between traditional teachings and contemporary life.
